    Join COG's Greater Sacramento Area's 1st Thursday Meet & Greets. Every first Thursday of every month. Held at Brookfields Restaurant Sacramento. We get started about 6:30pm and go to at least 8:00pm.

    This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with other COG members, find riding buddies and learn about upcoming events.

    Everyone is welcome, no registration needed. Just show up.

    Join us for the 31st running of The Hunt for Red October - Wisconsin's largest and most anticipated ride of the season! This annual tradition brings together riders for a weekend of great roads, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories in the heart of southwestern Wisconsin's Driftless Area. 

    Friday Night Arrival (Optional) - October 10

    If you're arriving Friday night, plan to gather at the Don Q Inn in Dodgeville, WI. We'll likely order a few pizzas and pass the hat to cover costs - just a casual way to kick off the weekend with good company.

    Saturday Ride & Meetup - October 11

    If you can't make it Friday night, no worries - join us Saturday between 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the:

    We'll grab lunch together before breaking into smaller ride groups for an afternoon exploring scenic backroads. All routes lead back to the Don Q Inn, where we'll cap off the day with a catered banquet dinner and prize drawings.

    Just want to check things out? 

    Unable to commit the full weekend? That's totally fine. If you're curious about the event - or just want to meet some fellow riders - stop by the Sparta Family Restaurant between noon and 1:00 pm on Saturday. It's a great chance to grab lunch with the group, put faces to names, swap stories, kick a few tires, and maybe even tag along for part of the afternoon ride. No pressure - just good people, good roads, and an easy way to see what COG events are all about.

    Three route options are available for download, all starting in Sparta and ending at the Don Q Inn: 

    • The HFRO I - Mississippi River Route (146 miles)
    • The HFRO II - Kickapoo River Route (141 miles)
    • The HFRO III - Wildcat Men - Baraboo Hills Route (153 miles)

    These routes were prepared in Garmin Basecamp but have not been test-ridden this year. Download and ride them as-is.

    Lodging

    Don Q Inn - Dodgeville, WI
     A block of 15 rooms will be held for our group at a discounted rate: $116/night + tax for a double room.  

    To reserve your room, call the Don Q Inn and mention COG.
    Rooms will be held until they are reserved or Friday, October 10th    .  

    Saturday Banquet Dinner 

    After a full day of riding, relax and enjoy a catered banquet dinner at the Don Q Inn. Your registration fee includes dinner and a chance at door prizes.

    Kancamagus Fall Foliage Ride

    Join us for a weekday Fall Foliage ride up through the New Hampshire Lakes Region, into Conway, then across the Kancamagus Highway (Rte 112), stopping for lunch in Lincoln NH.

    This is approximately a 270 mile / 7 hour round trip ride, including planned stops and lunch. We're doing this ride on a weekday to hopefully minimize Leaf Peepers and Tourists on Scenic Rte-112.

    Because of the length of this ride, we'll have to meet and start a little earlier than usual. Ride starts at 7:30 a.m. from the Drum Hill Dunkin' in Chelmsford, MA, just off the US-3 rotary. Please gas up before the start of the ride. 

    This ride includes some interstate traveling and some tolls to reduce riding time. Ride ends back at the Chelmsford Drum Hill Rotary off US-3 at about 5:00 p.m.

    Meeting Location: Ride starts at 7:30 a.m. from the Drum Hill Dunkin', 80 Drum Hill Rd, Chelmsford, MA 01824

    Lunch Location: Black Mtn. Burger Co., 264 Main Street, Lincoln, NH 03251

    Estimated Miles / Time:  269 miles / 7 hours (including planned stops & lunch)

    Update 9/23/2025: The planned COG get-together at the Devil's Staircase Hill Climb won’t be happening this year due to unforseen circumstances. The hill climb itself will still go on, so members are encouraged to attend on their own if they wish. While we won’t have an official COG group this time, we look forward to seeing everyone at future rides and events, and hope to gather together again soon!

    Devil's Staircase Motorcycle Hill Climb

    As usual, I will host the annual Hill Climb Brunch again this year at my home on Sunday morning at 10:00 am. Please register online so I can plan brunch accordingly and provide you with directions to my house. 


    Camping

    Primitive camping is available on site. Caesar Creek Campground (tents and RVs) and Olive Branch Campground (RV/Cabins) are close by.  

    I have space for 2-3 tents in my yard, and can provide shower facilities.

    BBRTT returns in 2025 in Alpine Texas for great tire scrubbing and fellowship.  We return to the Highland Inn in Alpine, TX:

    Please join the COG Horsemen for the 2025 "Brrr Ride" Thursday 11/06 - Monday 11/10 at Natural Bridge KOA located at 214 Killdeer Lane , Natural Bridge, VA 24578

    As we have been for the last 15 or so years, the “COG Horseman” will be across the footbridge in the “Newer Cabin” area – specifically cabin 63. 

    Check at Cabin 63 for the plans - likely to include informal group breakfast & informal group dinner at 6pm at The Pink Cadillac Diner located less than half a mile from the campground.

    A communal COG Campfire will be blazing between Cabins 62 & 63 – so grab cabins 62 and 64 while you can!

    Alternative Lodging

    For those not wanting to rough it at the KOA with the Horsemen, we have made arrangement to have rooms available at the Natural Bridge Resort. 

    The resort is just 4 miles away from the KOA. If you’ve never been the resort you’ll find it very nice. Our rooms will be in the two story Veranda Building.  

    A short distance from the main building. Riding routes will be determined at the event. 

    You must call the resort direct @ 1-540-291-2121 and mention the Concours Owners Group to get the group rate of $99 + Tax. Our reservation group number is: 110625COG

    23rd annual Ride to Eat for Southeast riders.  Join us for one of the longest running RTE's in COG'dom.  Come by bike, car, just come.  All are welcome, COG member or not. Bring your friends, the food is the BEST!     Green Mountain Escape II

    Join us for another long weekend in southern Vermont, riding around the Green Mountains. We’re going back to the Gray Ghost Inn again in 2026, but I've added an additional day as an option for people who would like to do an extra day of riding around Vermont.

    The Rally dates for this event are: Wednesday, 8/26 to Sunday, 8/30. Our group rate group rate will be $139/night plus tax for any style room. A full breakfast is included each morning of your booked stay.

    There will be no Rally fee for COG Members, (non-members will be charged $10 during registration). COG Northeast may offer a Friday night pizza party for all attendees.

    The Gray Ghost has 27 rooms and will be holding (15) for us on the dates listed, but if we need more they will try to accommodate us as long as we don’t wait too long before booking. The Inn has several rooms that can accommodate 2, 3, and 4 guests, so if people want to save $$$ by sharing a room with friends, please request one of those rooms when you call. The outdoor pool will be open and ready for us again this year, and if you're not into swimming, there's always sitting around the fire pit out back or on the patio deck. Join us for the full 4-day weekend, (ride home Sunday), or if you can't make it on Wednesday, come ride Vermont on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. To book a room, call the Inn directly at the phone number provided and tell them you're from COG or the Concours Owners Group to get our group rate.

    Registration/Fees

    There are no registration fees for COG Members.

    Non-members must register online and pay a $10 registration fee.

    If you're planning to attend, even if you're a member and there is no registration fee, we are asking everyone to register online so we have an idea of how many people are attending.
