Ken McClurg Memorial Ride 

Many of you saw the article in the last Central Area Newsletter (CAN) announcing a Saturday August 23rd Honor Ride for Ken McClurg, who was then in home hospice. It saddens me to let you know that Ken passed away last Sunday. Now the ride on August 23rd will be a "Memorial Ride for Ken McClurg" ending at 800 Central Avenue in Coon Valley. 

Riders in eastern Wisconsin will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the McDonalds at the intersection of I-94 and Hwy 83 in Delafield. We will then pick up others at the Culver's in Spring Green with an anticipated departure time of 11:00 a.m.

Riders coming from the west can join the ride around noon at the Liberty Bar at the intersection of Hwy 56 and County "S" about 5 miles east of Viroqua, or join us in Coon Valley at about 1:30 p.m.

There will be a "Celebration of Life" gathering with a chili lunch at Coon Valley, with a very brief and informal service. Ken's wife Karon would really appreciate a good turnout of COG members for this ride and chili luncheon.

Please register online to give us an idea of how many riders we should expect to join the ride. I look forward to leading this ride to honor my brother's memory.
